Gean's Steak Rub

Contents

[edit] Background

I made this when I got tired of steaks not having a whole shitload of stuff on them.

Rub one out!

[edit] Let's Cook

A mortar and pestle can sometimes be helpful with mixing spices.

[edit] Ingredients

(In order of amount)

  • Dried Rosemary
  • Dry(Minced)Onion
  • Dry Thyme
  • Brown Sugar (about 1 teaspoon)
  • Garlic Salt
  • Crushed Red Pepper
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • Parsley (Don't put this on with the others!)

[edit] Directions

  1. MIX IT ALL UP!
  2. Once it's stirred up, scoop some of the mix with a spoon and put it on the steak.
  3. Before you put another spoonful onto the next steak make sure you stir it again before scooping. If you don't do this yer gonna end up with a bunch of salt/pepper/sugar at the end and no rosemary.
  4. Once you've got a spoonful of spice on each steak spread it out and begin the press the spices into the steak.
  5. Once you've got the spices pressed into the meat, flip the steaks and repeat the process.

Now yer ready to cook the steaks, booya! If broiling, put the parsley on top after you flip and it will get all crispy and yummy! If you're grilling just put the parsley on before serving.

[edit] Important Notes

  • EWW SUGAR ON STEAKS? Hey, it's good! It seals in the juices and makes em crispy.
