People that play WoW IRL

Since I've moved to my new location (Panama City, Florida) I met a bunch of kids that play World of Warcraft. Most of the kids have been fairly alright. But, Today I met a kid who plays a paladin (also I haven't met one damn person that plays horde yet).

He came up to me at lunch "HEY MAN I HEAR YOU PLAY WARCRAFT??"
"Yeah, I did.. Playing EQ right now.."
"EQ? HAHA THAT GAMES SUCKS WOW TOTALLY KICKS ITS ASS WHY DO YOU PLAY IT"
"Have you ever played EQ?"
"NO BUT WOW IS BETTER THAN IT"

The kid was built (with fat) but I was still kinda edgy. I was afraid I was going to end up in his pvp log.

I kept thinking it was going to end up like that one "REAL LIFE" encounter between that warlock and paladin at the covience store (or whatever).

He talked really, really fast. You actually have to listen to what hes saying to hear him. Apparently, he's a level 60 paladin. 5k AC, 9k mana, 4.5k hp unbuffed with full lawbringer. He keeps telling me the class is the best ever but all he does in MC is cast clense.

I told him WoW sucks because you can get level 60 in about 2 days and he thought that I was saying thats what I did. He is also going to introduce me to a kid with a 60 shadow priest night elf.

He didn't pick up on "DOES HE MELT FACES?"
or any pure pwnage jokes.

But he did tell me that he Leroy Jenkins with his guild on Ragaros sometimes.

Everyone plays WoW, I said WoW sucks in the game store downtown and 3 guys ran up to me and angsted about how awesome their night elfs could kill dragons and how WoW was the best thing that ever happened to them.

They were boring so I went home and got laid.

I remember the reason I got in to EQ was so I could understand what my boss was saying 99 percent of the time while I was working (Babbage's, now GameStop I guess). He would insist on telling me at great length about all these raids he went on with his guild even when I had no idea what he was talking about. He'd like give me a detailed play by play and shit. I got to know about people in his guild more than some people I know IRL.

But, yeah, I guess it all turned out okay. I ought to track him down and see how he's doing. Although if he got in to WoW I'll probably have to hear a whole new set of stories...

i hate people irl. most of them would be telling you other shitty stories about thier life that you don't care about unless you know them anyways. I would usually rather hear them blab about how awesome their paladin is than about whatever crap they saw at some gay movie or how sweet their car is. Seriously unless i know them from either here or accidently meeting them i assume they are all retarted and annoying as kiss.

maybe pretend to be a gold farming robot irl, it works in games. even if you were speaking perfect english a second ago just start shouting incomprehensible things at them, then let me know how it went.

In my experience anyone that plays WoW and plays the alliance will openly hunt you down to ask if you play... Which might be why I have never seen any Horde players... Because we don't freak out and hunt people down...

But I think WoW draws one of the largest crowds as far as different types of people, because literally if you talk about it in a normal tone at Dalton for more than 15 minutes someone will join the conversation. (And they will be an alliance... And probably fat and gothic)


EDIT: On a different note, I started the 25 day Shadowbane trial... And it is really kinda fun, if you can get past the RuneScape-like graphics...
(It has item lootz and money lootz, but I got jumped by a dwarf hunter guy and he stole my spell monies T.T)

I've never met anyone irl that plays wow.. I'm in japan like coburn though.
If I did meet someone they'd probably be some way too nerdy alliance NE and I'd want to kick their ass though.
