I typed ipconfig/all in the command prompt, but it doesn't seem to want to give me my real IP. Might be because I'm behind a router; I don't know. Anyone know?

i guess www.dnstools.com
iono what u mean by real
I usually use this
http://www.stayinvisible.com/index.p...our_ip_nocache
Ok. I've been trying to run a server for the BF2 demo, but no one can get in using either my local IP or real. Could it be the windows firewall or norton not letting them in?
Yeah, same address. Not my local, but real. Could it be firewall issues?
Its probably your firewall. You need to open port(s) so that people can connect, I think, or something. Not sure how to do this!
awesome i got a post in before vern looks up an answer and posts approximately 300 words on what your ip address is to prove that he no longer is a pizza boy!
since youre behind a router, You'll need to use the IP that is assigned to you by it if DHCP is enabled, which it usually is... usually 192.168.1.xxx (for you to connect to your own server, you'll give other people your other IP)
Youll also need to forward the ports used by the BF2 server to your 192.168.1.xxx address in your router settings.
That site I linked will tell you what your router IP address is aswell as your real IP, if you have java enabled that is. I usually just use it to check if my proxies are working.
If that doesnt work, id try the same thing but with a firewall disabled.
