I like Guild Wars. Much of it is instanced, so it's not like a standard MMO, but the stories are awesome and immersive.
Also I heard there is an expansion patch coming out for it's content already, and that the expansion is free.

That is a good question. I think they will offer mini expansions for free, but probably crank out larger expansions at a cost. At $50 per game, if they can keep people buying them, they can turn a nice profit. I don't think they need to have the same amount of in game CS like SOE or blizzard does, so they don't have as many manpower costs to keep the game going.
New expansions = more gear/spells/levels

17 r/me just to collect all the me spells so i can make a pvp N/me or ME/n at some point. also have a 20 E/N. the pve is kinda boring but being a trapping whore in pvp with the ranger is fun cause it can rage people pretty well.

E/n is vegtam the wanderer. with a energy storage 10/earth lots/air rest build you can pretty much 3ish shot lvl 20 cloth pplz, which is funny as hell. as is spamming aoe knockdown and damage spells.
