Battlegrounds are awesome

Was just playing for about 20min before server went down. Looks like there are 2 zones: Warsong Gulch and Alterac Valley.

I ran to the gulch's entrance and was put into one of the 72 running instances of the zone, screenshots inc!

The battleground area, alliance base in background. Warsong is apparently the smaller of the 2 zones.

Horde base outside. Pretty bad SS, but I dont have anything else!

In case you're wondering no I didn't make it out of that tunnel. It's great fun though, and my instance was just starting and had only 25 or so people in it. Near the flags there's a small spot you can run up to where you get a sprint buff, and make for the flag. You still get honor kills (lots of them and fast too) and it looks like bonus honor is being awarded for capturing the flag, etc.

Oh, that reminds me, what's the level range for the gulch?(if any)

I also wonder if you make a group, will it be like normal instances where you all go to the same Battleground?

I hear the level limit is 31, not sure what all you can do at that level (quests I guess?).

To go into BG, you chose from a menu of either "First Available" or a list of Warsong Gulch 4, Warsong Gulch 7 etc. So I guess if your group all joined the same instance, you'd all get into the same BG.

This seems really cool, maybe i'll fix my computadora and reactivate my account. I have a tauren hunter on some weird server, I don't think it's warsong. Is there any way to transfer a character to another server? He's like lvl 37ish or something if I recall correctly, so I wouldn't really feel like starting from scratch. Let me know, gusy!

Warsong is the name of the battleground zone I was in! We play on Frostwolf, and they aren't allowing any char transfers to or from FW that I know of sir.

Hmmm. It looks interesting I guess, although I was expecting some new scenery.

It just looks like they put the barrens and ashenvale on the opposite sides of one giant zone.

Being that you zone in from barrens, and alliance from ashenvale, I guess it's kinda expected.

Alterac valley I hear is 20x this size and is filled with quests/mobs/objectives.

I just tried Alterac Valley; VERY fun hohoho.

Alterac isn't CTF it's more like the thing where you had to take over the nodes in UT2K4. First you capture one alliance bunker, then you have to capture the next subsequent ones before you can finnally attack the main base and once you kill all their commanders in the main base you win!

I, for one, will NEVER leave the battlegrounds. They're just so much fun! They're like a whole new game within the game, and you can farm honor so fast you won't ever have to worry about gear again.

HOW NEAT!

Ya both Battlgrounds are fun but on the test server the queues (oh god not that word again) get old fast. I was in a 45 minute queue once.

The good thing is you can go do anything while you are in line and then you just port there once your wait is up.

Ok guys here is some Alterac valley stuff for the peoples who haven't been to the test server!

Rink and I played this for about 6 hours straight, gaining a lot of ground on the alliance, and then losing almost all of it before I realized that I was playing for over 6 hours and I should probably eat or pee or something.

This big guy comes from a quest that everyone helps do. Once the horde turns in enough blood (you loot blood and other quest stuff/money off alliance players), an npc summons him. He eats people for awhile before going off to attack the nearest alliance base or graveyard. Kills a level 60 in 2-3 hits depending on class, can be healed and buffed too!

Here is him smashing alliance at the nearest GY. Graveyards are very hard to take over because the alliance can respawn every 30 seconds.

So I went up to that graveyard and somehow got feared up here! Look at those faggots they have no idea I'm up there, and there's no way to get up other than fear! Got LOTS of kills before some of them found me and shot me down...h8..

Here's a bunch of stuff happening, which happens a lot.

More stuff happening.
