    Guild Wars 2 - August 28

Pease and I have pre order in so get like 3 days early access you can too is $59.99 one time no subscription.

we're transfered to GATES OF MADNESS

This game looks p goog tbh... like way polished, lots of cool shit, isnt a total wow clone like everything else since WoW. Think for awhile the main mmo market will be SWTOR, GW2, and WoW.

Yeah if Battlefield 3 had guilds, was in a persistent world, had 10,000 player servers and maps that are 8x8 KM. The only similarity is in the controls, and the fact that it's an FPS with a bunch of different vehicles. In Planetside2 we'll be able to get as many FoH members as we want into one battle and all do something stupid, like all get jetpacks and use nothing but smoke grenades to create a giant lag cloud. All be engineers and build a bunch of turrets in the sanctuary to block off important parts of the base for our team.

Because it's in a persistent world we can do really weird stuff, like get 10 of us to hide in some rocks next to a desert road with rocket launchers and kill anybody that drives by while we smacktalk them in tels with "WOOTEEENIEEE!!" and other Jawa phrases. We could all spawn Galaxies (a huge flying dropship) and get 60 random people into them, then fly over some island in the middle of nowhere, kick them out, and tell them that they need to set up defenses ASAP. Then we come back an hour later to see how many didn't kill themselves

We could pick some random guy that's online, lets say, Samson, and all of us could make characters named SamsonBot001, SamsonBot002, Samsonbot003, etc. and all follow him around in a straight line and do whatever he told us to do. Then eventually we could pretend to "break down" and just start spawncamping him with knives

The point is, there's a lot of weird and funny stuff we could do in this game!

So, all I know is the servers are down a lot. How is the game going? sell me on it? picture stories?

This game is way different from WoW, I'd say as far different as EQ was from WoW in that their quest and combat system are totally different. It is literally like, the combat is very cool and every weapon gives you different abilities, theres no dedicated healer, you can chain attacks off other ppl's attacks and the defense system is like barrelling away.

The quest system is not the ? ! shit, its like you kinda just go exploring and "events" happen and theyre usually like mini raids and any other nearby players swarm to them too. It really doesn't feel like a grind at all. The progession is not talents, but like abilities and traits and other customizable stuff.

The castle siege PvP is pretty cool, big epic battles.

After wasting 30 bux on DayZ, gw2 is like... badass as kiss. d3 never had a chance against gw2.. blizzard knew that thats why they pushed out d3 unfinished

Iono man it is the shit. Selling my WoW account cuz after Panda gw2 is going to kill it

I would like to play it, and likely I would be today if I didn't need to look for extra employment instead =( babies are expensive man. Eventually I will likely fall for it but keep updates going about it. There is no negative impact from getting pked though right?

Suffer gear damage and then get a death penalty debuff which messes up their stats and they have to go quest it off or w/e after it accumulates too much and they are weak

events thing was stolen from warhammer (rift stole ths too)

chaining attacks i feel like was the selling point of another recent mmo too, maybe rift

pretty cool they're taking the cool parts of all these mmos who tried to take wow's frame and add a few minor things, its like they're taking the minor things and removing the wow frame, i wonder how it will turn out

(just judging by naes' review, i havent played)

I only played warhammer beta, but it was a straight wow clone. Never played rift.

Also the combat isn't too cheney. It's fun like easy to swap weapons mid combat, so I'm beating you up with my great sword and you run away I swap to a staff and can nuke you down.

It doesnt seem like anything too special in the first few levels but it seems fairly legit and fun. and no monthly fee means I can keep playing it on and off forever or not, no pressure. looking forward to doing some actual pvp. A lot of things have no tutorial or explanation for them, that I like. have to try to figure stuff out a little. and hohoho jumping puzzles! ive always said mmos need more like zelda style dungeon puzzle things.

The point is, there's a lot of weird and funny stuff we could do in this game!Yeah if Battlefield 3 had guilds, was in a persistent world, had 10,000 player servers and maps that are 8x8 KM.
