Like Dayse says, draft usually happens after preseason. One of the years I think we did it the night before the season started. Starts on a wednesday this year as Mr President Obama is giving some sort of speech on the thursday which is more important than football.

Earlier this summer I asked mi cha, Mitchell and Aussie if they wanted to peel away and form a league and it sounds like we're going to do that so while I can't speak for them myself, I think it's possible/likely that we won't be in JoH this year.

On the positive side, mi cha probably won't be joining JoH this year.

I assumed your friends wouldn't come back to play again, which is fine. They can try to find themselves a league which lavishes more attention on them.

Is it too much to ask that you play in 2 fantasy leagues though? You really can't manage to play with us and them? Just play both! All you need to do is set a lineup each week. You know how difficult it is finding players!

One league is more than enough for me, but thanks for asking.

We're going to test a scoring format that's completely unorthodox, where each player (4) gets access only to players from the North, South, East or West of both AFC/NFC teams. i.e. We'll draft/draw straws for NSEW and play any player from those divisions. No trades, etc.

Let me know if you or Dayse need help in assigning commish in the old league since I'm sort of tied into that.

That's still only 6, we need at least 2 more. My housemate, the reigning champion (Wilmcotian) is keen to play again. Getting ten would be even better than 8.

I think entry fees make sense - they'll keep everyone interested. Dayse is still owed $25 from last year for coming second, so I'll pay his this year. The usual $20 entry?

I don't like fantasy football much.
It makes me ill to cheer for some random cowboys or 49er player or some other team that I hate.
I will also be out of town on a camping trip (no intarwebz whatsoever) on sept. 2 if that is indeed the date of the draft.

However - if you need an extra player to kick around to round out your league, I'll suffer through for y'all.

Only Wilmcotian will come back to play. My other friend isn't interested this year. Also, Wilmcotian can't make the draft time you chose as he'll be at the paralympics. So you'll have to pick a different draft date or time it later.

If Pfunk autodrafts than he autodrafts. Aussie did that last year and ended up with a good team. We need him!

With Pfunk it's 7 so we just need one more. Get Gean to contact Fry.
