Yes buy the game, we needs more guys in game! (They are not selling copies right now but probably will be soon, because the queue times are gone once again and its just too good to be true

) Currently the game is playable, yay!

And yes roll an elf if it suits your fancy, the faction thing is convenient but not entirely necessary.

I wanted to make a funny name, but for some reason I thought it was important to hurry up and play. For everyone who can't buy the game, spend the next few months coming up with a good name, because you won't waste the time to do it once you actually get your hands on a sub.

they have no info on when or if they will ever launch a second server...and if they do itll prolly be another EU server. they also have no info on whether they will ever sell another account, except that for the time being they are not selling accounts until they get their 1 sever working correctly.

dont hold your breath, even if they start selling copies you gotta be lucky to get the buy button...luckier to not time out after u push it and even luckier yet to have a bank that allows the transaction to process. then if you are super lucky your download of the game might work...if not get ready for redownloading and repatching and hope that since they opened up account sales again that when u finally get the game to work its not back into queue hell. <3

nonetheless i still check the site several times a day to see if the sales are back up =(
im such a failure.

They've they're doing a second EU server before the first NA one.

I find the whole they're failing mixed with "I can't even buy the game it's sold out so fast" kind contradictive.

If they're gonna fail, it'll be because they keep kissing up with lack of content, not from lack of interest.

That is, until enough ppl give up.

Well, they were taking the server down during Euro play times instead of us so I guess they know but arn't saying a word, their SOP it seems for everything CS related.

its fun but all us foh burnout on video games so fast because alot of us dont play it all together. and this game basically requires you to have a group at all times unless you're willing to risk losing your stuff alone

ya I am feeling like this a bit right now. its a decent game but I feel like there is just nothing that I can realistically do during the odd times I can play. I'm considering putting this game on hold until NA servers are up and if/when we get more people playing. I just seriously have no clue what the hell I should do with 1 - 2 hours of game time.

Some of the best features of this game just don't make it practical unless your guild is very large and organized. Getting enough people together all at once when the world is so large and completely non-instanced just isn't as easy as it sounds. You really have to commit to a game like this to make it work.

As far as I'm concerned, I haven't really started playing yet. I did one day of questing. I've done many days of exploring. I've never killed someone who wasn't at least partially AFK.

I've stolen six mounts now. Oh one of the new guys was someone I referred after stealing his mount. He started playing along a little when I did my typical RP, refusing to rage, so I gave it back to him and told him he should app.

There really is a lot to do in the game, despite the brokenness of everything. Getting killed and sent back 2 hours in travel time is brutal, brutal, but that's what we wanted, right? You certainly aren't forced to run in groups, but it does make PvP and PvE easier.

If there was one thing I'd change it'd be to remove reagents, arrows, and durability hits. A fast travel option (which there is) would work if it had a cooldown of maybe days, so you could occasionally jump to where your friends were if you didn't have an hour to run there.

Really, the game would be entirely different if we had a dependable centrally located hamlet. Everyone would bind there and with the constant threat, we'd spend 80% of the time defending it. Really, though, we'd probably just lose it

Dude, whenever I'm not playing the game, I think about playing it and what I'll do in it. There's no such thing as burn out as long as you keep going for a goal. Now that I finally have 50GM, I wanna get a couple thousand G's to buy the elemental spells and start owning people. Man, I just wanna roam around and gank people all day and take their shit. I also find a perverse enjoyment in mining ore. Especially with the node fixes, gaining anything over 25 ore is "dangerous" and the more I gather before banking it the more of a "bad boy" I am. Oh yeah, this feels sick.

not playing would be far more boring so I got to get my shit together

Not sure what this means, but most polls show a majority (70-80%) of people enjoy the game and plan to resub. That's something I guess. So we have the same split in our ten man starting group. Of course If we had 2 to 3 times as many people in, it'd be a hell of a lot more fun.

This whole time I've been farming reagents just so I could get elemental magic, so I could then use it when we roamed for enemies. You guys gotta hang in there! Yea, as I gather all day long to try and find / buy enough reagents to hit 50GM (40 now) I am consistently reminded of the phrase that has already become a cliche on the forums, "PvP is the most efficient form of gathering". There have been a few nights where I've lost over half of what I've gathered, all within a sight of the safe areas.

This weekend I'm picking up a sword and a bow and I'm going to start learning to enjoy this game

I didn't participate in any of our political stuff, but I've been reading a few good posts about the different alliances. It seems pretty much like Eve than, huh?

Hey, make sure we have our guild gold ready when they open the NA server. It might just be a big fat race. Maybe we should all vote now on a good spot. Let me dig up the new Eve-like alliance map. It's really pretty interesting and might give a different perspective. Then again, they say a guild our size shouldn't really be able to hang on to a hamlet anyway, so it might just be a fun thing to try for a little while until it gets ripped out from under us.

hohoho all reliable forum people should be made into officers so that when the people fall off we dont lose control of the guild to someone who got promoted when the leader was drunk or whatever, ive seen this happen twice...and in warhammer theres still a FoH running around and i dont think they have any idea what the url for notacult is or that we are a "legacy"

im still planning on playing this game way more than is healthy once im able to buy it.

dont neglect to consider joining a bigger guild to use them for advancement tho. if flowers doesnt have the numbers to really compete right now rather than quit cuz u have to run solo, join another guild til u are powerful enough to run solo. some of my funnest times in foh were like after a small group of people leveled up and came back and then would lead the ragtag lowbies around trying to 1grp stuff and getting in fights.

i had a lot of fun in warhammer after i joined a serious RvR guild. unfortunately those guys eventually quit too. which is why i ended up cancelling my subscription. after losing two groups of playmates.

I went to a siege on LoD today, just caught the end. I donated a little bit to their "Cannon Fund" on behalf of Flowers of Happiness and they gave us a little public thank you, hehe. Sieges are kindof fun to get in on, even if we really aren't the type of guild to hold allies. Alliances let you get in on some big battles without necessarily needing to belong to a guild that I'm sure wouldn't be much fun to be in.

For those of you that aren't in the game, The current alliance that we are accepted with is in blue, mostly in the upper left. The purplish dots are their main competition. LoD also has some loose ties to much bigger guilds like goons, making a bigger but looser mega-alliance. We really aren't a part of that so we'd probably get kilt if we went into any of those cities.

Yea, so like I said, alliances are like the best of both worlds, you can participate when you feel like it, and yet not really have to be a big angry maniac all the time. The tough part for use would be the general lack of giving a shit that would eventually get us kicked out. I don't see that as a problem as long as we don't put in too much more than we get out. The other problem is the serious serious alliance chat channel. I kindof understand more now though because you only see your allies parts of the convos in it, so while wee see it as a mostly empty channel, LoD sees it as constantly busy with status updates from all their other allies.

I've been soloing until I get 50GM as Gusy is doing. I think once people start hitting that 50GM goal, we'll start seeing groups more regularly.

Yeppers, too few of us too spread out at the moment. Trying to PvE in enemy lands solo was just way too hard and was frustrating. I started farming skeletons for bone back near my starter cities to get my GM up. Pretty fun trying to get people killed so I can take their bones! Its time to put those easily earned faction points to work. I got 21 freebies off some AFK dude last night, super fun!
