To coordinate in this game well we need to communicate properly!
Even if you dont have a mic it helps to not have to type everything. Join TS! We won't ban you! Mics are like 5 dollars, BTW.

It wasn't even going to cost you money!
If I can stay online longer than 10 mins before Darkfall acts like a Cock and disconnects me, I'll be on TS.
weird, im not having that problem at all
I think it's hopeless. The game simply won't run on Vista 64 or Win7 64 if you have 8GB of RAM. I've tried three different machines and none of them work.
Unfortunately I need to do work on my home machine so the O/S and RAM isn't really an option. I'm going to give it a whirl on my Macbook Pro, but it's a sad state of affairs if I'm forced to play games on that.
Whats the DC your getting.
Ever since this mornings patch I've been plagued with runtime errors crashing Darkfall.

Have you made a post on the boards?
I know it's a shot in the dark asking help from there, it's my last option before I do a reformat, but someone might help.

When I ask if any of these brain trust candidates are actually running a 64-bit OS with 8GB of RAM the answer is an astounding no.
HAVE YOU INSTALLED DRIVERS?!!?! NVIDIO.COM
RUN A SPYWARE CHECK WITH NORTON, THEN MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EMTPIED YOUR RECYCLE BIN
Debugging this game I am absolutely astounded at the idiocy of the design. I would have loved to have been in the room when they decided that writing half the game in C++ and the other half in Java was a good idea.
To give you an idea of how awesome this combination is, once in game (rendering engine in C++), press the Journal button and wait; a very, very long time. No, that's not broken it actually does take a full minute to load up the journal window. Some quick debugging shows why; the journal is written entirely in Java and apparently quite poorly to boot.
I can just see it now. One poor sod wrote the journal in Java, somehow insisting this was a good idea, not realizing what a tosser he is for forcing you to have both the C++ redist and JVM packaged with the installer. It's like two different teams designed the game by committee and never bothered to check what the other side came up with.
Here's a top tip for all you aspiring game designers out there. If you are targeting Windows and plan to use Direct X, don't use Java. If you do decide to go this route, do us all a favour first and dip your testicles into a vat of bleach, removing your utterly useless genes from the pool.
