Re: Hypersensitive whiners. Anti-Verant radicals. Lets see
A trick was found that shortened the Spear of Fate quest. (keep in mind the SoF quest revolves around murding a paladin, fraternizing with drunkards, and killing a mother's lost child)
_______
If you go back and read the text on the Spear of Fate quest, you see it is based on faith, honor, integrity and justice. When I look at my Spear of Fate, it brings back memories of friends fighting and dying those first few weeks of the release of this quest. I think back to the early threads on this very board or success and failures of the many pioneering Shaman like myself who gave of their valuable time and experience dying to bring you this quest. I think back to those of us who forged deep into The Hole to challenge the then broken High Scale Kirn, only to be sent back to the Ocean to start this quest again 3, 4 .. somtimes 8 or 9 times.
I can stand back, look at this weapon in my hand and KNOW that I earned it. KNOW that my friends gave of their lives to obtain it. And KNOW that I still have faith, honor, integrity and justice immy heart.
Can you? Or do you stand before that shimmering pool of water, glaring at the reflection of you Spear of (ill)Fate, knowing that you cheated the system, and all of us Elder Shaman?
Congratulations on your Spear ... only you have to live with the decison and path you chose to steal it. From day one the Shaman ranks have always been small. We do a thankless, yet vital job in this game. It takes a hero to be a shaman. To stand up and logon night after night, to buff untill your fingers bleed, just so you can see the joy in another persons chat lines knowing it was you who made that possible, and without you, there would be no joy.
